Daniel A. Eyink, MD
Dr. Daniel A. Eyink is Board Certified in both Internal Medicine and Medical Acupuncture. He has devoted many years of study to identifying the root cause of illness & pathways to healing. Dr. Dan is strongly committed to helping patients heal and maintain health using nutrition, herbs, homeopathy, & acupuncture, and by supporting the body’s nutritional needs with whole foods nutrition.
Dr. Dan completed his Doctor of Medicine from the University of Massachusetts in 1994; his Internship and Residency in Internal Medicine at Providence St. Vincent Medical Center, Portland, Oregon. He worked as an Internist & Primary Care Physician in Newburyport from 1998 until 2010. He was trained in Medical Acupuncture at both Harvard University and UCLA, and is an Advanced Clinical Nutritionist in Nutrition Response Testing as well as a Certified Practitioner in the Morphogenic Field Technique. Additionally, he holds Advanced Certifications in Auricular & Laser Acupuncture. He has studied extensively the teachings of Dr. Royal Lee, the Father of Nutrition, and the work of Dr. Weston A. Price and Dr. Francis M. Pottenger. In 2009, together with his wife and business partner Jacqueline Carroll, he opened Dr. Dan’s Natural Healing Center and began providing simple, natural healthcare.
Born and raised in Cincinnati, Ohio, Dr. Dan achieved success early in his career as a renowned Executive Chef. He received Mobil Travel Guide’s Four-Star Chef Distinction Award for three consecutive years. So began his journey of ‘food as medicine’. He also spent time studying with classical French, Spanish, & Japanese chefs and worked as a pastry chef in the Napa Valley along the way. He was involved in the upstart of the American Cuisine style of cooking in the 1970s & 1980s.
Dr. Dan’s interests include cooking, sharing & enjoying outstanding food at home with family and friends, as well as traveling and spending time with his wife & their daughter Phoebe Li. His true passion is learning from the masters and utilizing that knowledge in any way he can to help others.
Jacqueline Carroll, MS RN FNP-C — Nurse Practitioner & Director of Operations
Jacqueline Carroll is a Board-Certified Family Nurse Practitioner; she is co-owner of Dr. Dan’s Natural Healing Center. She holds a Master of Science Degree in Nursing from the University of Massachusetts Boston and has nearly 40 years of medical experience including Cardiology, Management, Occupational Medicine & Employee Health. She is a FMCSA Certified D.O.T. Medical Examiner specializing in D.O.T. Physical Exams and USCG Merchant Mariner Medical Exams.
As Director of Operations at Dr. Dan’s, Jackie evaluates all business procedures and implements policies & procedures with the goals of improving day to day operations and providing the best possible patient experience. Additionally, she oversees Special Procedures, IV Therapies and new business development.
Jackie loves preparing & sharing great home cooked meals with her husband Dr. Dan and their daughter. She also enjoys spending family time on the Maine Coast & volunteer work as a founding Board Member of the non-profit organization Amazon Promise.

Melissa is a certified Integrative Nutrition Health Coach by way of the Institute for Integrative Nutrition.
Elyssa J. — Patient Advocate
Elyssa assists with Nutrition Evaluations to ensure each client has an understanding of their individual program. She is a graduate of Merrimack College with a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Management with a focus in marketing. Prior to working at Dr. Dan’s she worked in a business management role.
She is passionate about health and wellness, and continues to pursue education in the area of Nutrition. She has a strong interest in Nutrition Research.
Elyssa loves hiking, camping, and spending time with family.
Samantha M., Integrative Nutrition Health Coach — Patient Advocate
Samantha assists with Nutrition Evaluations and ensures each client has an understanding of their individualized nutrition program. A graduate of Cambridge College, she holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Health and Wellness Promotion.
She has experience as an office coordinator, health coach and medical receptionist. In addition, Samantha has earned a certificate as an Integrative Nutrition Health Coach from the Integrative Nutrition Institute. Working with the Dr. Dan’s Team, she shares her passion for health education with patients and co-workers. This passion extends to helping people live healthier lives.
In her down time, she enjoys walking her dog!
Caitlin M. — Patient Advocate
Caitlin assists with Nutrition Evaluations as a Patient Advocate at Dr. Dan’s. She works to ensure each client understands their individual nutrition program. She holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology, and she is a Reiki Master and teacher with 18 years of experience working with clients and students all over the world.
Highly intuitive since childhood, Caitlin credits energy healing and herbalism with saving her life during her mid-twenties. This sparked a passion for helping others by sharing modalities that have helped her in the past.
